"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven...."
(Ecclesiastes 3:1)
Greetings to our Very Valued Guests and Friends,
It is with feelings, both bitter and sweet, that we share with you that on
November 22, 2020 we will close Copper Beech Manor Bed and Breakfast and no
longer accept reservations. Regrettably, we will also cancel all reservations
following that date.
As most of you are aware, we have been trying to move toward ‘real' retirement
for some time and our goal was to sell our home and business to someone who
would continue the business we have grown. Unfortunately, that is not to be and
our buyers will return our home to a private residence.
As the preacher Ecclesiastes said, there is indeed a season for all matters.
Having opened in January of 2009 following six months of renovations and with no
business, thanks to each you, we have been blessed and our business has grown
beyond all expectations. Largely because of your continued loyalty and support
over the years as well as the friendship so many of you have extended to us, it
has been a most rewarding and wonderful experience. It is with certainty that we
will deeply miss seeing so many of you and the sharing of your lives and
families. However, as much as we've enjoyed owning and growing our B. & B., time
does march on and we feel that now is the time for us to move on to a new
chapter in our lives.
As we move on, it's hard to fully express our deep appreciation to each of you
for making this very positive experience possible – your support, the
encouragement you have extended to us and the friendships you have shared. Even
now, before officially closing, we're remembering so many of you through your
comments and the conversations we've had and the hopes and dreams you've shared
over the years. It is our most sincere hope that many of you will continue to
keep in touch or possibly even stop by our new home when visiting the historic
Philadelphia suburban area. We have included our new contact information below,
effective after December 4, 2020.
Again, our most sincere "Thank You" for helping us to create Copper Beech Manor
and all the memories that, together, we were able to create and share.
Sincerely,
Bill and Linda Petry, Innkeepers
